Congerstone Village Hall Renovation

Congerstone Village hall is an important community resource and, until last summer, was in urgent need of renovation. After a number of fundraising events, generously supported by local residents, and grant awards, enough money was raised to renovate the main hall, meeting room, toilets and storage room. In addition, a new insulated roof was installed above the main meeting room, the walls of which were also clad and insulated. The extent of the work performed was only possible because of the generosity of the local village contractor who volunteered to undertake the project at minimal labour costs.
Currently, we are still wanting to upgrade the kitchen facilities and will be running a variety of events to raise sufficient funds to perform the work.
